Amanda’s professional career in marketing began as an account executive at Barnet Ellman, a traditional Public Relations and Marketing Agency in Beverly Hills. She was responsible for recruiting and managing promotional models for client activations and events. Her spare time was focused on building her tv and social media persona and continuing her education. In addition to studying Broadcast Journalism at UCLA, Amanda studied privately under TV-hosting manager Marki Costello.
She once filled in as a last minute red carpet host for Disney’s premier of “UP”. Maximo TV hired her on the spot to be a red carpet reporter. While working for Maximo TV, Amanda interviewed many A-list celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Jon Voight, Mark Hoppus of Blink 182, Ashley Greene, Ed Asner, Bella Thorne, Elle Fanning. She conducted interviews at movie premieres, award shows and sporting events including the summer X-Games and the NHL Awards.
Amanda enjoyed blogging about her interests including, skiing, technology and lifestyle and was offered a trip to Portillo, Chile to help one of her favorite magazines (SNOW magazine) launch a new digital strategy. Amanda was the “special guest” and emcee at Snow Magazine’s yearly fashion show in New York City.
She arrived back in Los Angeles and knew that the future of marketing and advertising would soon shift more focus and budget onto social media, websites and mobile apps. As a result, Amanda founded Upwardly Social in January 2012. One year later produced the highest grossing digital marketing conference of 2013, Social Media Strategies Summit- Las Vegas.
Upwardly Social’s digital strategy and social media management clients range from entertainment, lifestyle, technology, hospitality and ecommerce brands. She developed a mobile app called Taggeroo which was used as a tool for managing multiple social media channels more efficiently. Her extensive knowledge of digital ROI valuation and social media strategy continues to make Amanda a force in the world of digital marketing.
Amanda has managed countless Influencer Marketing campaigns for Hugh Hefner, Crystal Hefner, multiple Playboy Playmates, James Franco, Gary Vaynerchuk, supermodel Carol Alt, social media sensation Amanda Cerny, singer and reality star Chanel Westcoast, reality TV stars such as Big Brother winner Jordan Lloyd and the Tequila Sisters, also NFL stars such as Justin Simmons and Robert Turbin.
Amanda has continuously shown the ability to evolve her business with digital marketing trends, tools and emerging data science.
Her love for skiing and mountain lifestyle prompted her relocation from Santa Monica, CA to Aspen, Colorado. She joined the Aspen Entrepreneurs and aligns her business with brands and projects she is passionate about.
