Girls Hike Too

Me and my best girls took a first time hike to Crested Butte with this awesome crew! We hiked there but flew back in style thanks to Bubba Air. This trip would not be possible without Eleven Experience, Scarp Ridge Lodge, or Julianne Murphy. She definitely knows how to organize some special girl time. Have I ever said how much I just adore her and her planning?

Some things to do in Crested Butte are:

Crested Butte is known as the “Elk Mountain” or the “Wildflower capital of Colorado.” Its history is saturated in mining, specifically coal mining. It slowly but surely came to a halt after some roller coaster years: a blast killing 63 miners, strikes, etc. The history of a town is always fascinating to me. It always seems like things change drastically back then. Today, it is heritage tourism spot for people of all ages at 8,885 ft. elevation.

Scarp Ridge Lodge. Such a quaint and perfect spot for us to have a relaxing, kid-free, time away from distraction and responsibility. I encourage you to hang out with your friends. Make that time happen, but otherwise, life will get in the way, and you won’t see each other. I couldn’t have been more happy with the setup for this mini getaway. You can even go alone if you really want to. Another reason I adore this place is because they are pet friendly. You know I am an advocate for our sweet furry friends. “Families, couples, and multi-generational groups looking for an active vacation with luxurious accommodations.” This vacay was worth the time and money, and I’m looking forward to our next one! Okay, Julianne, what’s next?

Don’t just take my word for it:

“The Eleven Experience properties are all stunning and staff is trained to go above and beyond with any request. This property, located in charming Crested Butte, is 5 stars and both cozy, luxurious and decorated in a way that fits in with the natural beauty of Crested Butte. They offer a delicious apres ski/happy hour and our mixologist made us a fantastic skinny Paloma. The breakfast is included and changes each day. It always includes specialty coffee, fresh fruit, smoothies, green juice, homemade granola, and a fantastic egg dish. Can’t wait to return.”
