Here Lately

My adventures this past week include one of my favorite pastimes with some of my favorite people. Such a relaxing, concentrated sport…the sport of golf. I’m here to rate just two of the many great golf courses I’ve been to. California has so much to offer in all its magnificence, and I love to talk about things that have been amazing to me and my people.

Let’s start with the beautiful, La Quinta Country Club. You really can’t mistake some of the rich heritage you see across the course. Besides its beauty, La Quinta Country Club has developed this atmosphere of camaraderie. The 18 holes were supreme, and the clubhouse was great! I love Aspen, but listen to this weather difference. Winters can be in the 70s. So nice! Do you think I’d be golfing year round? You betcha. Views. La Quinta Country Club has all the things when it comes to that! The mountains and desert are extremely calming and stunning from behind the greens. My scorecard wasn’t so bad, either!

Chef Bradd Bennick is the man at their diner. It is definitely a one of a kind experience. Why? The menus change weekly. If there’s something new every week, it’s enticing to come back! You really can’t say the diner offers a “type” of food and label the club because it has a mixture of everything. So nice, and so comfortable/personable! If you’re interested in a membership, here’s some info! Pricing is not listed on their website. You’ll have to call if you’re really interested.

Toscana Country Club was better than La Quinta Country Club, as lovely as it was. Let me explain. The staff was so warm and welcoming and the service was sublime. This place has had some growth in the community over the years. It is a bit more high end than La Quinta Country Club. I was honored to play on it! When you’re inside the clubhouse, it almost feels like you’re in Italy, with all of the delicate architecture. The Tuscan type homes help with that feel. There are two 18-hole golf courses. And did I add this is a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course?

Joining a country club is more than just golf. It is community building community. Check out your local country club/local golf course and see how you can support!
